Pentecost Sunday

Most People Have it Wrong. When I ask Christians what the purpose of Pentecost is I get many answers.  Some say ‘So we can be Baptized in the Spirit’.  Others say ‘So we can speak in tongues and have a personal prayer language’.  Some would even say ‘So we have the Holy Spirit’. The purpose of Pentecost was to EMPOWER the church to be witnesses for Christ. That is why we so desperately need the Baptism in the Holy Spirit today.  We need that personal baptism in fire to give us boldness and power to share Christ with a lost world.  The wonderful news is that Jesus is still baptizing believers in the Holy Spirit today.  All you need to do to receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is to ask, wait, and receive!
